The Rees is a fantastic new apartment style development with spectacular views, that also provides excellent service. Just a short drive to the city centre, the ski fields and the airport. This is a great place to stay for both individuals and groups, particularly those looking for a longer stay. SE0909

exterior
Modern exterior utilising local Otago stone and southern New Zealand timber built in 2007. Overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the picturesque mountains surrounding the lake.
restaurant
True South is the signature restaurant with a menu that changes monthly. Bordeau is the wine lounge which also serves light snacks. The Chefs specifically showcase local produce and the wine list, another feature of the Rees, is extensive.
rooms
The Hotel rooms are very spacious. Rooms have either a super king size bed, or twin single. Underfloor heating in all tiled areas and a balcony. All room have excellent view of the Remarkable's mountain range and the lake from the balconies. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated with European fittings and have a walk-in shower. LCD tv's are standard and have a broadband connection. The furniture is custom built by a local company and is a real feature of the hotel.
location
The Rees is located in Queenstown on the Lakefront edge of Lake Wakatipu. It's positioned so it has breathtaking views of the lake and of the Remarkable range of mountains.
