The Bastion hotel is located outside the city centre of Zaandam but close to the highway to Amsterdam.

The rooms are like all Bastion hotels, simple, basic, comfortable and very clean.
restaurant
The cosy and inviting restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and serves a Dutch menu. Breakfast is also served in this area.
exterior
Like all Bastion hotels, this is a modern, purpose built low rise building.
lobby
The lobby is small and incorporates the bar and dining area. it is welcoming with a sofa and armchair.
general
This is a fine hotel in a location that is close to Amsterdam without being in the hussle and bustle of Amsterdam. It is also very close to one of Hollands most popular tourist attractions - the Zaanse Schaans which is only a 10 minute ride away. jg/07/2010
