Completed in June 2002 the hotel is a very modern structure, with parking on-site for coaches, while parking for cars is available at the nearby NCP car park.
lobby
The lobby is modern with contemporary decor, and has a small lounge seating area. The bar area is also available next to reception with additional seating and workspace available.
general
An excellent hotel in York with a location that is hard to beat. Provides excellent value for money for a modern hotel. (GW 05/2009)
restaurant
There is no restaurant, but a continental buffet breakfast can be taken in a spacious and well-presented breakfast area with adjacent cafe bar.
rooms
All bedrooms are of a modern design with stripped wood flooring, variable lighting, TV with news and satellite channels, tea/coffee making facilities, desk area and modem points. The bathrooms have glass and steel fittings and walk-in power showers. All rooms are of good condition and are extremely clean and tidy.
location
Situated within the city walls within easy walking distance of all the major tourist attractions, the hotel has an ideal location, just minutes from the riverside, shopping area and York Minster. The hotel is also about 10 minutes from York train station and also provides easy access to the A59 and A64 with easy access to Harrogate and Leeds.
