generalThe Resort is set in park like grounds, with lawns leading to the lake shore and plenty of garden seating to fully enjoy the scenery. Facilities include tennis courts, Spa and Sauna, nine-hole putting green and children's area. Nearby there is an 18 hole golf course, fantastic trout fishing and in season the Ski and snow board slopes. An all year round option depending on the activities preferred. The best hotel in Wanaka. lobbyA small to medium sized lobby, leading to the main hotel bar in one direction and the Sargoods restaurant in the other direction.
exteriorThis is a low rise Resort style complex built in 1986, with lots of character.
restaurantThe restaurant, Sargoods, serves international and local cuisine set in a beautiful location with panoramic mountain and lake views. The chef originally from New York takes pride in serving very imaginative dishes. This is a great hotel restaurant and will surprise you.
roomsThe one bedrooms suites are beautifully appointed, generous size and well furnished. The main living area comprises, a kitchen area, a dining area, a lounge and the balcony or terrace which looks out over the lake and mountains. The lounge has Sky Tv and a stereo system as well as sofa and easy chairs. The bedroom is slightly smaller but still comfortably fits a King size bed. the bathroom leads off from the bedroom and has a large bathtub and separate shower unit. The washing machine and dryer is situated in the bathroom.
