locationThe hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the Southern Lake District on Lake Windermere, 2 miles north of Windermere Village on the A591 and 1 mile south of Ambleside.
roomsAll of the 110 en suite rooms are of a medium size, tastefully decorated with up to date comforts and many rooms boasting lake views.
restaurantThe tastefully modern Windermere Restaurant serves a selection of classic European dishes surrounded by the contrast of vibrant artwork of Viennese painter Gustav Klimt and traditional English oak wall panelling, sumptuous leather chairs and fine crystal ware and crockery. More relaxed dining is available in the newly renovated, chic and elegant Langdale Lounge Bar which serves light bites and bar food throughout the day. Both enjoy beautiful views over the lake. The Cafe del Lago Brasserie is open April - Sept and provides a stunning alfresco summertime dining experience.

lobbyThe lobby area is medium sized and is decorated in dark woods and pale white colours. It is very cosy -yet modern - with comfortable leather arm chairs and large brass and copper fronted log fires. There is a sweeping staircase which leads up to the first floor.
generalWith a breathtaking lakeshore setting with lawns leading down to the water's edge and one of the finest views in the whole of the Lake District, this is a four star family-friendly hotel that offers everything you could wish for. In addition, the Low Wood Leisure Club is relaxation heaven boasting a large heated pool, fully equipped gym and beauty salons look-good, feel good treatments.
