location
The hotel is located within the Ringstrasse adjacent to the main shopping street, the Kartner Srasse and minutes from St Stephens Cathedral and the Opera. This is probably the most famous hotel in Vienna being the home of the legendary Sacher Torte.
rooms
The rooms do vary in size but are on average large. All are individually decorated both traditional and elegant antiques and are in excellent condition. The deluxe rooms offer just that bit more comfort for the guest than the standard category, and are in general more spacious.
restaurant
The hotel has three different restaurant areas all offering international cuisine and exceptional service.
exterior
The facade of the hotel is traditional in design with awnings in the hotel colours and huge flags representing some of the many nationalities who stay there.
lobby
The lobby/reception area of the hotel is small and leads directly onto a bar and lounge area which has dark wood panelling and is decorated in impressive traditional design.
general
This hotel is certainly a must for those desiring a glimpse of traditional Vienna and exceptional old fashioned discreet service. It is comes highly recommended PL 05/08
