generalAmandari is designed as a Balinese village encapsulating the island's depth of tradition and creative inspiration. Surrounded by sacred land, Amandari is interwoven with the threads of its peaceful local culture. DS 02/08.
lobbyopen-air lobby was designed after a wantilan, or village meeting place, with coconut-wood posts and a floor of cool Javanese marble alternating with local volcanic stone. Teak and coconut wood are used throughout the resort’s 30 free-standing suites and Amandari villa.
exteriorAmandari has been styled as a Balinese village, with river-stone walkaways, shrines, gardens and high paras-stone walls. Balinese-style gateways front each suite.
restaurantCrafted largely of teak wood, the Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, specializing in Indonesian and Western dishes. The casual, two-story restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and the green valley beyond.
roomsThe Asmara and Ayung Suites, both of these are duplexed suites with large private swimming pools and sweeping views of the adjacent rice terraces and valley. All suites are individually walled off to offer privacy and are designed with an air of understated elegance. The suites are either single-story suites with a king bed and high ceilings or a double-story suite with a queen bed upstairs and two large lounging beds downstairs. All suites have large sliding glass doors which when fully opened offer a unique open-air atmosphere to the suite. The bathrooms, which are constructed out of teak wood and Javanese marble, feature an outdoor oversize sunken bathtub, double wash-basin vanities, shower and ample closet space
