Mawamba Lodge is located within the general area of the Tortuguero national park on the northern atlantic coastline. It is located on a sand bar between the Tortuguero lagoon and the caribbean sea. One can only travel there by boat or by airplane as it is a series of water canals that do not allow for roads.
rooms
The hotel has 36 rooms. The example on the brochure is of a room furnished throughout by wood. It is large in size and in very good condition.
restaurant
There are two restaurants, one located in the main building & the other designed for groups and incentives by the pool.
exterior
Formed by various individual lodges surrounded by exotic gardens.
lobby
The lodge, due to its unique locaton utilizes the dock area as the reception and lobby area.

A fantastic hotel completely surrounded by the most exotic nature, with splendid public areas such as the pool and rustic style restaurant. . 20 jan 2000 . Hotel not visted. Report has been written with the aid of a brochure.
