A wonderful location in the heart of the Salzburg old town, the hotel is near the pedestrian shopping area, within easy walking distance of the cathedral and the famous Mozart's house.

The winter garden and traditional style rooms provide charming settings for small parties whilst the Renaissance hall, with richly decorated wooden ceilings, and impressive rooftop Kaisersuite are more formal venues. 1108SR

The lobby has a marble floor and is medium in size. It stretches down a corridor but is cosy with cocktail and coffee lounge antiques, classic furnishings and paintings.
exterior
A beautiful traditional building of historical interest, the Alstadt was formerly an ancient inn dating back to 1377. Entry is through the main arch, decorated with wrought iron and gold leaf work.

The elegant restaurant prides itself on service and gourmet cuisine.

All rooms are unique with great attention to detail. Rooms vary in size due to the age of the building and vary from medium to very large. The executive rooms tend to be on the larger side of the scale and are very luxuriously decorated. All are traditionally furnished and features include exposed wooden beams, stucco ceilings and beautiful views of the Salzach river and the historical old town.
