generalThis is a superb deluxe property. It is very grand and elegant, in a prime central Sydney location. The Great Synagogue is next door. MN1108.
lobbyThe lobby is very large with a grand staircase in the centre. The beautiful marble and wood finishes add to the impressive and welcoming entrance. Reception is to the right as you enter, with lifts at the far end. To the left is the Gallery Tea Lounge. There is plenty of seating available.
exteriorCream color high-rise building overlooking Elizabeth St and Hyde Park. The port cochere is undercover and marked by flags at the front of the hotel.
restaurantThe Brasserie serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on the first floor, adjacent to the Conservatory Bar, overlooking Hyde Park. Downstairs on ground level, opposite reception you will find the Gallery tea lounge, a chic cafe.
roomsCityside Rooms are large and in very good condition. They are luxurious and extremely well appointed. They feature ornate plantation shutters, and the marble bathrooms are beautiful and spacious with separate bath and shower.
locationThis hotel overlooks picturesque Hyde Park on the southeastern side of the city. It is in the heart of Sydney, surrounded by shops, restaurants and theatres. There is undercover access to David Jones department store and Pitt Street Shopping Mall. Sydney Tower is a 2-minute walk, and Darling Harbour is a 5 min walk from the hotel. Circular Quay and the Opera house is a leisurely 10 min stroll.
