Popular hotel with a wide range of dining outlets in a great location for business or leisure. The hotel has an indoor lap pool. One of Sydney's leading mid-scale hotels. MN1108.

Large lobby with high ceiling, with a Cafe to the right of the lobby, overlooking York Street.
exterior
This medium rise art deco style building was built in 1928 originally as a department store. It was then used during the war as a headquarters for military personnel. In 1997 it was converted in to a hotel and remains heritage listed. The hotel has been designed to beautifully demonstrate the history of the hotel.
restaurant
The Brasserie on Level 2 caters for Breakfast (buffet) for all guests and Dinner for Groups only. There is a bar on level 2 which is a very comfortable place to enjoy a drink and light meal. The decor is modern and there is an excellent tapas menu. The Deli and Cafe Co. on the ground floor opens onto York Street, with a sidewalk atmosphere and caters to FIT dinner bookings. The hotel also has a number of outsourced dining outlets such as a Malaysian Laksa House on the ground floor.

Rooms are larger than standard rooms and comfortably offer bedding for three adults. Rooms are tastefully decorated, in very good condition, with comfortable bedding. Bathrooms are in very good condition. Latest technology - high speed internet access, room service orders via TV screen etc. Suitable for business and holidays.

The hotel is located in the heart of Sydney, convenient access to the Rocks, Darling Harbour, Chinatown, and only 5 minute walk to the Queen Victoria shopping centre. Buses and the train station are only 2 minute walk.
