It is a popular spa resort hotel. There are also recreation facilities such as Karaoke room, an indoor pool, etc. The aesthetic salon offering massages and aroma therapy has a good reputation (women guests only). The shared hot spring baths are large with Jacuzzi, sauna facilities and an outdoor hot spring bath designed within a traditional Japanese garden. Breathtaking views of the beautiful mountains and city are perfect for those guests wanting to get away from the stress and relax in natural surroundings. (07/08 YT)

Marbled throughout with chandeliers making a bright and relaxing mood. There are oriental objects and art work. Large in size, any guests will appreciate the calm and deluxe atmosphere.

rooms
The rooms are Japanese style rooms only with no beds. By day, the rooms are furnished with a low table and zabuton floor cushions on Japanese straw tatami mats. There is also a sitting area with two armchairs and a coffee table. By night, the room is transformed with Japanese futons into a sleeping area. Each room at the ryokan has its own private bath and toilet.
location
The hotel is situated in Jozankei, a hot spring resort area about a one-hour car ride from Sapporo city centre. Due to the renowned healing effects of the natural hot spring waters, this area became famous and today attracts many visitors. Sapporo Kokusai Ski area and Mt. Hakkenzan with its picturesque views of the ravine mountains are near-by. From Shin-Chitose Airport it takes about 35 minutes by train to JR Sapporo Station. From the station it takes 60 minutes by bus to Jozankei Bus Stop, and just a minute walk to the hotel.
