A little gem of a hotel just outside of the city area. Fully accessible by taxi to all shopping, it also provides a wonderful little side street to explore in this famous and historical suburb of Singapore. Please note that the hotel provides complimentary airport shuttle transfer from 0700 hours to 0200 hours daily in 30 minute intervals; this service is subject to seat availability. sg 02/08
lobby
Done in the ultra modern minimalist style, the functional lobby leads one immediately up to the upper floors for restaurants. There is not much seating and but the lobby is definitely large and airy.
exterior
The exterior of the hotel is brick red with dark tinted glass and can be described as modern. It is facing the road and with a short driveway. It is flanked on one side by a small mall.
restaurant
Beads Restaurant serves a fusion of Western and Thai cuisine. Feast @ East on the upper floor serves buffet during breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an a la carte menu of Western and local specialties.
rooms
The Deluxe rooms are 32 square meters, located from 10th floor and above. Rooms have a high ceiling which gives a spacious airy feel. The rooms are very modern in design, with a use of earthy tones and a large wooden headboard. Being a relatively new hotel, all furnishing and amenities are new and of a high standard. Rooms are equipped with standard internet ports and coffee/tea making facilities. The bathrooms come with combined bathtub and shower.
location
Located at about a 10 minute drive to the city, the hotel is in a famous suburb of Katong. Katong is famous for its local Peranakan cuisine developed from the mixing of the Chinese and Malay cultures. The hotel faces the large Parkway Parade shopping centre. It boasts walking accessibility to quaint shop houses in the Katong and Joo Chiat area as well as the East Coast Park.
