Independent Report
locationThe hotel is situated in midway between airport and the Siem Reap town.
Not far from the main tourist attractions.
generalIt has a swimming pool equipped with two automatic water message appliances; it is an excellent place to relax after a trip. It has also a conference room with a capacity of 200 persons, fully equipped with a modern audiovisual system for meeting, seminar or private ceremony. Drinks can be taken in either of the lobbies. There are scheduled traditional Khmer dance shows available every week. Formerly known as Nokor Nok Thlok Hotel, it is a good option for clients looking to stay in Siem Reap on a first class hotel. (09/04 PS)
lobbyIt is spacious enough for group check-in, with available seating in a large size of rattan chair style either in the main lobby with the reception or the side lobby in the old wing near the restaurant. The refreshment bar is also available on the left hand side and a souvenir shop on the right. Decor is spartan but they do have a large diagram/map of the Angkor ruins. There are several photos showing their more illustrious guests with the hotel owner.
exteriorIt is a modern, three-story building in white concrete, trimmed in golden and red colours. The central entrance has a further two rooms built above it, so it reaches to five stories and is crowed by a Khmer style. The two wings, conjoined at the central entrance, also sport traditional Khmer style roofing, which lends some character to what would otherwise be a fairly bland building.
restaurantIt is an elegant restaurant and dining there is a great pleasure as it is spacious. The one restaurant/breakfast room is large but very bland in arrangement, withdecor resembling that of a high school refectory.
roomsRooms in the new wing are medium sized (24 square meters) and are furnished with all modern amenities: air-conditioning, private bathroom with hot and cold water, satellite TV, international direct dial telephone and mini bar, safety box is available at the front desk. Dark wood local khmer furniture and modern fabrics are used and the whole is adequate without being remarkable. Rooms in the old wing are the same sized and have same decor as that found in the new wing. The bathroom is medium in size, with black granite sink, and it is generally clean. Most single rooms are on the ground floor while twin rooms are on the higher floors.. The hotel also has solid three separate beds for a real triple room. The suite rooms are larger with the same decor and stunning view of Angkor Wat.
