locationThe hotel is situated in the historical city area known as Trastevere, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Rome and close to the most important attractives. Immediately outside the hotel, the Porta Portese flea market, selling a mix of antiques and bric-a-brac, is held each Sunday. Stallholders begin setting up at 6:30 AM and close about 2 PM. For decades a Rome institution, the market was featured in The Bicycle Thief, a classic 1948 Italian film directed by Vittorio de Sica.
