Independent Report
generalThis hotel is perfect for those who want to discover the island by car. This is also a very pleasant stop-over for those have come to walk the Levadas, which are walking trails along the maintenance paths of mini-canals. Although the Levadas were primarily constructed to bring water from the north to the south side of the Island, they are just as important for tourists and local people alike who want to enjoy incredible breathtaking scenery. The levadas cover a total distance of 2500 km, and date back to as far as the early 16th century. (DDS 07/08)
lobbyThe lobby is very small in size.
exteriorThe main house where some of the rooms are located is a traditional stone building. However, most rooms are to be found in a modern style Scandinavian wooden building

roomsMost rooms are decorated in a rustic way with functional furniture. Most rooms have incredible views over the valleys below and surrounding mountains.
locationWhy not combine Funchal with a stay in this hotel? Highly recommended hotel for walks in the Mountain and its stunning views. Located in Encumeada, which is on the road between Ribeira Brava and Sao Vicente and is virtually in the centre of the Island, surrounded by lush vegetation.
