The Crowne Plaza Reading is delightfully positioned on the banks of the River Thames, next to Queens |Bridge and ideally located for Reading Town Centre. Opposite is the Swan sanctuary and next door is the rowing club, so there is usually plenty to see on the river.
rooms
Thoughtfully designed, the bedrooms are stylish, well proportioned and comfortable with modern day facilities. All 122 bedrooms feature seriously comfy beds, generously proportioned bathrooms, are fully air conditioned with high speed internet access and on demand digital movie systems.
general
This is a stunning and very well appointed 4 star hotel and is one of the few hotels in Reading that offers free parking for all residents. The Revive Health Club and Spa is very new and impressive offering an 18m pool, large fitness Suite, Spa Pool, Steam room, Sauna and 5 spa treatment rooms. (GW 09/2009)

The lobby is medium in size and contemporary in design. There is ample seating and leading on from the entrance lobby and down a few steps is the lobby bar, large enough to accommodate a group.
exterior
A modern, u-shaped building consisting of three floors including the ground floor - it is a brown brick building.
restaurant
The restaurant is situated just beyond the lobby bar and is a large square shaped area with atrium style roof. The eye catching view over the River Thames and the sociable, elegant setting has inspired a stunning interior for Acqua Bar and Restaurant. Recently awarded it's 2nd AA Rosette, the Menu caters for a wide range of tastes and preferences, paying particular attention to quality and sustainability. With Acqua opening onto its own Thames side private terrace, this venue can suit any occasion, a bustling lunch, a quiet meeting in the afternoon or a candlelit supper in the evening in or outdoors.
