generalPerhentian Island, or Pulau Perhentian as the locals call it, is well known as a marine paradise and forms a parts of the National Marine Park of Malaysia. locationPerhentian Island Resort is situated on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, between Kelantan and Terengganu. The Resort is built on a 9.947 hectare site facing the South China Sea. The main gateway to the islands is via Kuala Besut Jetty. The boat journey time from Kuala Besut Jetty to "Long Beach" takes approximately 30 minutes. Getting to Kuala Besut: * From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, take a flight to Kota Bharu by Malaysia Airlines or AirAsia. * Arrange private land transfer or take a cab from Kota Bharu Airpot to Kuala Besut Jetty Office or Tok Bali Jetty.
