generalThe hotel was constructed in 1985 under the donation of Mr. Pao Yue-Kong, the famous industrialist in Hong Kong. Being recently re-structured and renovated thoroughly, it is a true 5-star luxury hotel in Beijing. (05/03 AW)
lobbyThe lobby is large in size with exquisite Roman pillars, specially designed marble floor and carpets in beige and brown combination, a stylish crystal chandelier from the center of the ceiling, and a seating area with luxurious sofa sets and stylish coffee tables. In the very center of the hall with elegantly arranged fresk flower banquet, there placed a beautifyl redwood round tabel with golden decorations of 6 lovely goddess supporting the surface of the table with their golden wings.
exteriorIt is a modern high-rise structure of steel, glass and concrete in beige color, with an impressive steel pyramid top roof and an impressive entrance.
restaurantThe hotel features four full service restaurants and a bar, serving Taiwanese, Cantonese, Indian and western cuisines. The Taiwanese restaurant serves hard-to-find authentic Taiwanese dishes and tea arts, and it is the first Taiwanese restaurant founded in Beijing.
