The lobby is open plan with the lounge and seating area. M. Murat was a famous soldier serving the Emperor Napoleon, and the decor of the public areas is in keeping with this theme. The impressive wood-panelled walls, carved furniture and huge frescos portraying epic battles, capture the mood of the whole period.

Built in 1850, this is a traditional, Parisian, "Haussman" style building.

No restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast room is on the ground floor.

The rooms are small, and in good condition. They are tastefully decorated, and furnished and equipped to a good standard. There are no triple rooms available.
