lobbyThe lobby is extremely large and bustling with international actvity. It has recently undergone renovation and has been restored to its former traditional style. The ceilings are very high, and this area has been split into 2 levels. The lobby also has a shop and restaurant.
exteriorThis landmark hotel was built in 1919 and is one of New York City's largest hotels. The style of the bulding is typical of the architecture during this time.
roomsThe hotel's rooms vary in size; 80% are medium and 20% are large. Some rooms have been renovated in modern, simple style with light green/neutral colours. However, many rooms are very basic and would benefit from redecoration. Some floors are in better shape than others.
locationThe hotel is located in the lower part of New York's midtown area, facing Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It is only 3 blocks from the Empire State Building, minutes away from the Jacob J. Javits Convention Center, famous fashion district, Macy's and the theatre district.
