generalThe hotel is in a great location for those visiting Newcastle - all the attractions are within a very short walk. Jesmond bars and restaurant provide excellent evening entertainment. Due to part of the hotel being closed because of fire damage, the Swallow Imperial will be running as a budget style hotel during the refurbishment period with no restaurant, bar or leisure facilities available to guests.

lobbyThe lobby is fairly small and quite dark. There is a larger lounge area situated just off the lobby for relaxing.
exteriorThis is a modern building similar to a motel style hotel with a grey concrete exterior. The hotel offers car parking to the front of the car and in a privately ran car park within the hotel grounds.
restaurantNo onsite facilties available, been the hotel is close to both city centre and Jesmond, where guests can find a wide selection of bars and restaurants.
roomsAll rooms have full facilities such as trouser press, hospitality tray and are en suite, they are medium in size and are kept in good condition. Rooms are traditional in style.
locationThe hotel is one mile from the city centre in Newcastle in the Jesmond district. With easy access to the A1 and A1M. Just 15 minutes from Newcastle airport and Durham Tees Valley airport is just 50 minutes away.
