locationSituated in Plaza Independencia in the heart of Montevideo's financial district, close to all places of interest, monuments and shopping areas. Various rooms and public areas have seaviews, as the port is only five minutes away.
rooms75% of the rooms are large, with the remainder being very large. All are in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. The decor is modern, but in a traditional style. Dark wooden furniture is used in all the rooms, with colour schemes changing from room to room.
restaurantThe hotel boasts La Pergola restaurant, serving international cuisine, and three other separate bar areas.
exteriorA very traditional structure with a high-rise modern tower, which blends in with the other traditional structures which line Placia dell'Independencia.
lobbyMedium in size with marble tiled flooring. The furnishings are all in dark wood with marble walls. As with the majority of antique buildings, the ceilings are very high. It is now looking a little tired and the hotel plans to renovate in the near future.
generalSpaces abound in this hotel which offers every service guests could desire. The hotel boasts a very large rooftop swimming pool and casino. ( 04/08 MQ)
