A world famous property that continues to be in high demand with a wide range of visitors from all over the world. A definite Alpine feel to the hotel. A large number of activities are available including the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre and Planetarium, glacier landing flights, hiking, glacier boat lake trips, 4 wheel drive adventures, helicopter rides etc. SE0411

The check in area for the motels is at the main hotel lobby.

The motel units are in a small complex a short distance to the main hotel area. All the units are single storey.
restaurant
There are two main restaurants, one serving buffet style meals and the other a'la carte fine dining. There is a cafe style restaurant open for lunches and a bar for a range of refreshments throughout the day and evening.
rooms
This room category is for the motel units. They are approximately 800 metres from the main Hotel. There are both studio and family sized units and all are in excellent condition. The studio's have one queen size bed, bathroom and full kitchen. The Family units have one queen size bed and a double fold out sofa in the lounge area , plus a separate bedroom with either 2 single or 1 queen size beds with bathroom and full kitchen. both types have their own private patios. All motel guests have full access to the hotel facilities and there is a complimentary shuttle service to and from the Hermitage hotel operating on request. All motel bookings include a daily continental breakfast served in the Alpine restaurant
location
World renowned Hermitage hotel in the Mount Cook national park is the only hotel in this area. Located at the foot of New Zealand's highest mountain - Mount Cook has some of the best walks in the world usually from late October to late March. However the winter low season has its own attraction with less people. The National park, is approximately 330km south of Christchurch and 280 kms north of Queenstown.
