exteriorA ten storey building made up of various wings, some are newer than others. Glass and steel building.
restaurantThere is a buffet restaurant, the Alpine, a silver service restaurant, the Panorama and a coffee shop. there is also a very cosy bar with large open fire. All have excellent panoramic views.
roomsThe Aoraki wing is the newest wing in the hotel completed in 2001 is of a high quality all rooms have floor to ceiling windows and all face Mount Cook. Being in the top 3 floors guarantees the best views of all the hotel. All rooms have the usual amenities such as mini-bar, tv, hairdryer etc.
locationWorld renowned Hermitage hotel in the Mount Cook national park is the only hotel in this area. Located at the foot of New Zealand's highest mountain - Mount Cook has some of the best walks in the world usually from late October to late March. However for the more adventurous the low season has its own attraction with less people. The National park, is approximately 330km south of Christchurch and 280 kms north of Queenstown.
