The hotel offers facilities such as fully equipped gymnasium with sauna, spa/steam bath and massage, bowling alley with 6 fully automatic lanes, 2 floodlit tennis courts and a temperature controlled outdoor swimming pool. The hotel provides 24 hours room service and is also a short drive from the Qurum resort that offers all the facilities of a private retreat on the beach. This property is a little dated, but offers very good service in an excellent location. (MK 07/06)
lobby
The reception is to the left of the large lobby. To the right, the lobby leads to the all-day dining room. The lobby is a little dated but extremely spacious.
exterior
This is a high-rise brown building with lots of glass. Behind the hotel are the Muscat Mountains and in front of it is the central business district.
restaurant
The all-day dining room, overlooking the poolside lawns, hosts theme nights and serves international cuisine. The Italian a la carte restaurant offers Italian cuisine in a traditional cosy Italian setting. In addition, there is a bar which serves light meals and refreshments and a cafe which serves French delicacies and coffee specialities.
rooms
The spacious rooms are well-appointed with a large working desk, international direct-dial telephone, colour television with satellite channels, radio, mini bar, individually controlled air-conditioning-system and hairdryer in the private bathroom. Sprinklers and smoke/heat detectors are fitted in every room. Non-smoking rooms are available upon request at check in. All rooms are in good condition. For guests seeking triple occupancy, a rollaway bed will be made available for the third person.
location
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the central business district in Ruwi, just opposite the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The hotel is surrounded by Oman's rich mountainous landscape and is within walking distance from the main shopping areas. The airport is approximately a 30 minutes drive away.
