In a prime location, this premier Manchester Hotel is close to the city's financial sector, shopping, theatres and the G-Mex Exhibition centre. The famous Chinatown and The Village, with their myriad of bars and restaurants are only a few minutes walk. (GW 05/2008)

The small lobby and public areas still retain some of the original architectural structure, like the sweeping staircase.

This traditional building dates back to 1857.

There are three restaurants; Crompton's which serves French cuisine, Jenny's which offers traditional English fare, and a pizzeria serving Italian cuisine. The hotel also has an extensive bar.
rooms
All of the medium size rooms have en-suite Bathroom and full facilities. The decor is in fair condition, if not a little dated. As the hotel is old - the rooms vary in size from quite small to very large. Triple rooms are either a double or twin room with an extra bed (not 3 single beds).
location
The hotel is situated in Manchester city centre, five minutes from the train station and 2 minutes from the coach station.
