The small lobby and public areas still retain some of the original architectural structure, like the sweeping staircase.

There are three restaurants; Crompton's which serves French cuisine, Jenny's which offers traditional English fare, and a pizzeria serving Italian cuisine. The hotel also has an extensive bar.
rooms
The City rooms are located internally in the building with no outside windows, however most have skylights and all are air-conditioned. They offer exactly the same facility as the standard rooms, and some people may prefer the better sound insulation characteristics of these rooms. All rooms have Trouser Press, Colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel is situated in Manchester city centre, five minutes from the train station and two minutes from the coach station.
