Malang itself is a small town in East Java that is favored for its cool temperature and beautiful mountainous nature. This is the city where the Dutch planters and civil servants used to retire until early 1900s. Malang is surrounded by apple and tea plantations, botanical garden and hundreds-years-old temple ruins. Very close to beautiful volcanic Mount Bromo.
