The hotel is situated in the very centre of St Petersburg opposite St Isaac's Cathedral and close to the Bronze Horseman, St Petersburg's city symbol. The hotel is about 10 minutes'walk from Nevsky Prospect metro station and other public transport. The Hermitage is a gentle stroll away.

The rooms are sumptuously decorated in contemporary shades and materials, all locally produced, but retain the Astoria's renowned secessionist designs and traditional, early 20th Century luxurious appointment.

Imposing secessionits architecture in keeping with the atmosphere of central St Petersburg. The stonework is light and the facade is lined with pillars and pillasters.
