** The Discovery Inn Hotel will be installing a new lift starting on Monday 22 Feb and completing on Monday 19 April. A porter will be available 24 hours a day to help guests with their luggage. The hotel apologises for any inconvenience ** This recently refurbished 3-star hotel is ideal for both the individual and group traveller wanting to stay in central Leeds. With the rail station only seconds away and major roads close by, the hotel is a good base to explore Yorkshire. This is a good value accommodation. (GW 03/2010)
lobby
The lobby is rather small, but does offer a seating area just off of reception.
exterior
This traditional building comprised 7 storeys, with lift access. The building is in the centre of the city, so has a small frontage but it is set across many floors.
restaurant
There is a bar/restaurant below the hotel which serves continental breakfast. It opens for lunch and dinner, serving food and drink throughout the day.
rooms
All rooms are of a medium size and offer the following facilities: hospitality tray, remote control TV, hair dryer, trouser press and direct-dial telephone. The rooms are of a fair condition and are in need of updating.
location
Formerly known as the Comfort Inn, the hotel is very centrally located, adjacent to the railway station and on the main loop road in Leeds City Centre. Perfect for exploring the city excellent shopping facilities and close to local restaurants such as Loch Fyne. Within 30 minutes of York and 45 minutes of Harrogate, the hotel is perfect for those leisure guests looking for a budget hotel from which to explore the area.
