generalThe location and good value for money make this hotel excellent for both sightseeing and business travellers. Business travellers can have access to other necessary office facilities, such as fax and copy services, for a small cost. Guests can enjoy the Yasaka shrine, the Kyoto Shijo Minami-za theatre and the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo theatre, which are all nearby. This area is interesting either by day or by night, and an evening stroll is highly recommended to take in the atmosphere of traditional Kyoto. (0908NN)
lobbyThe lobby is medium in size and has some seating space. The hotel restaurant leads off from one side of the lobby. It is light and welcoming.
exteriorThis modern brown building has a Starbucks cafe on the ground floor, connected with the hotel.
restaurantThere is one restaurant offering Japanese cuisine, as well as a bar. In summer, the rooftop also serves as a beer garden.
roomsAll rooms are compact, modern and light. There have all the necessary facilities, inlcuding LAN Internet access installed in all rooms and tea-making facilities. Some rooms have views of Mt Higashiyama and the Yasaka shrine. The bathrooms are clean and in good condition.
locationA superb location, right in the Gion district of Kyoto, where traditional Kyoto is preserved at its best. This is, in fact, the only urban hotel in the heart of Gion. It is a 4-minute walk from the nearest subway station, Shijo Station, and an ideal location for sightseeing and business.
