A good first class hotel with a convenient and quiet location in what is an extremely pleasant old city.

The reception itself is narrow and of small size, with modern furnishings and quite a dark feel.
exterior
Although a simple modern design, the building's brickwork and coloured facade fit in well with the surrounding 17th century architecture.
restaurant
Located on the ground floor, the restaurant is a light, open-plan room with brick furnishings.
rooms
On average these are of at least medium size and in very good condition. Colours and decor follow traditional Scandinavian tastes, with yellow, blue and red to the fore, and wooden parquet floors throughout.
location
The First Witt is situated in the quiet and attractive old town within easy walking distance of the seafront and Kalmar's vibrant cafe and restaurant scene.
