One of Jersey's best hotels in this range. It has everything one could want from a first class hotel. It also has a swimming pool and upper sun deck where you can relax and sip on a cocktail or eat a snack from their large food menu. Overall the hotel offers a romantic, medival feel perfect for couples and families. An extremely pleasant surprise awaits for anybody who stays in this hotel. (KB 05/08)
lobby
The lobby is small but you notice the moment you walk through the front doors the atmosphere and character of this beautiful hotel.There is a second lounge off the lobby with huge comfortable sofa's and a log fire where you can relax and soak up the hospitality that is offered by all the hotel staff.
exterior
Originally a 17th Century Coach House restored but kept in theme. The exterior is in different stoning with windows stretching throughout the front length of the hotel.
restaurant
This hotel is famous for it's food and extremely popular with both locals and tourists. It has three fabulous restaurant's, from a romantic A La carte dining room to the freshest of Seafood Restaurant and a selection of new world dishes in Doran's Bistro where you can also dine "Al Fresco" weather permitting.
rooms
All 58 bedrooms are ensuite with a high standard of housekeeping. The rooms are a little dated but has all the comforts expected - hairdryer, colour satilite t.v with in-house film, tea/coffee making facilities, trouser press and PC Connect. Room service is available on a 24 hour basis. Rooms vary in size due to the age of the building.
location
The hotel is ideally situated off the Esplanade between the beach and the main shopping area of St. Helier. Perfect central location from which to explore the island, with the city's shopping just minutes away. The hotel also benefits from a rear entrance offering direct access to the concert hall.
