The bedroom of this suite features attractive decor, a luxurious king-size bed, a sitting area with a sofa, a work desk, a telephone with voice mail, high-speed Internet access, and an en suite bathroom with full amenities. Also included are cable TV with movie channels and an in-room safe. Rooms wed modern comfort and old world charm. Plush carpets of magenta and sea foam accent custom furniture, from canopied and four-poster beds to Queen Anne-style writing desks and dressers.

One restaurant provides beachside dining at its best with nightly Hawaiian music and dance; while another is conveniently located near the pool and beach, and enables guests to lounge for breakfast, a light lunch or an afternoon snack. The beachfront Mai Tai Bar offers a breathtaking view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head plus Hawaiian music.

The hotel with its unique blend of Moorish-Spanish design and stunning coral pink stucco has made it the most celebrated landmark on Waikiki Beach. It is nicknamed the Pink Palace of the Pacific, with its soaring turrets, tropical gardens and hushed coconut grove. The Royal Tower, a modern building, is also a part of the hotel and it is adjacent to the Historic Building.

The hotel has a large lobby with shops. Small palms and plants fill the lobby adding to the tropical theme.

Guests are greeted with fresh flower leis upon arrival and there is an island luau occurring weekly (reservations are recommended). In house salon and day spa available as well as pool facilities. Children's program is available. Shopping arcade, business and concierge center on-site. 80% of the guestrooms are non-smoking. A charge of 200 USD reconditioning fee will apply to a guest if a non-smoking room is found to have been compromised.
