The lobby and reception area is large with high vaulted ceilings and surrounded by black marble. It is elegantly furbished in a mix of western and oriental design.

The hotel probably is one of the most famous hotels on Hong Kong Island. The accommodation is regarded as of an excellent standard and it prides itself on offering an extremely high standard of personal service. (KC Apr08)

The building is a relatively modern, moderate high-rise structure of glass and concrete.

There are several restaurants throughout the hotel. They are all large and very well appointed. They offer a choice of either western, cantonese or Japanese cuisine.

The rooms are all large and renovated. Plasma TV, motion sensor, internet access are all available in each room. They offer either a view across the harbour to Kowloon or across the city and the peak.
location
It is located in the area of Hong Kong Island known as central, the main commercial and business area, close to chater gardens and the legislative council building. It is a short walk from here to the famous night-time entertainment area of bars, restaurants and clubs, called lang kwai fong. It is also close to the water front. The nearest mtr station is central.
