Scandic Opalen is located in the eastern part of Gothenburg city centre. It is within walking distance of the convention centre, the Congress Hall, the Scandinavium concert hall and the Liseberg amusement park.
rooms
Rooms are small to meduim in size and in very good condition. They are well-appointed with a single bed and an extra bed that can be folded down from the wall, despite this format they are very comfortable. The design and style of the rooms is typically Scandinavian with much use of earthy colours and wooden furnishings. Many enjoy impressive views. Bathrooms are also in very good condition.

Found on the ground floor, the restaurant is quite informal, modern and comfortable, and serving international cuisine.

It is a high-rise blue and clear modern glass structure.

The reception area is modern in design and decor, and is of medium size.
