Situated on the edge of the westland world heritage park in the Township of Franz Josef.

There are three main wings of the hotel, most of the hotel rooms have now been fully renovated. Douglas wing rooms feature Sky TV, radio, heater, fridge, mini bar, tea & coffee facilities, telephone, internet dial-up access, hairdryer and include desk space & balconies.

The main restaurant is called Caravans, there is another bar and restaurant area serving the three hotel wings.

Encompassing 2 distinctive properties just 1km apart buildings are in keeping with the native bush surroundings and alpine scenery. The Douglas wing is within the main township area.

Lobby size is medium.

An excellent hotel to stay in to visit the glaciers and rainforest. An ideal place to break up the journey on the West Coast of the south island. Book early though as high season is always very busy.SE0908
