A fantastic location on the Royal Mile, just a minute from the castle, on the Lawnmarket. The hotel is located in a secluded medieval close. The quaint Jolly Judge pub is also located in the close for a dose of Scottish hospitality. This is the heartbeat of Edinburgh?s charming and romantic medieval Old Town.

Your double or twin room has recently been refurbished and now includes all modern luxuries you would expect, such as TV and DVD Player (with access to a complimentary DVD Library), fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. You also enjoy your own private ensuite bathroom. Please NOTE: All rooms are Non Smoking. Please note that chairs and tables for breakfast are not provided. They come with a supplement payable at the apparthotel

There is no restaurant; breakfast is provided in all rooms (some cereal, tea and coffee).

The world-renowned philosopher, David Hume, as well as the famous Scottish writer James Boswell once resided in this very building and you will pass their apparently 'haunted' apartment on the way up this enchanting stairwell. For the elderly or infirm, there is no lift in this property, and there are quite a lot of stairs to the hotel rooms.
