generalThe location of the hotel is very good, and it has a very relaxed and informal feel. Perfect for those looking for a traditional Scottish Townhouse hotel. (KB 07/08)
lobbyThe lobby is medium in size and decorated in a traditional style. There is a small seating area and an open log fire. A really cosy welcome!
exteriorThis is a traditional building, built from three Georgian houses. Set back from main street, it is perfectly located on a secluded cobbled side street. Parking is available at the nearby shopping centre car park, or alternatively limited spaces are available outside in the evenings only.
restaurantMP's Bistro is on the ground floor, serving Scottish and international cuisine to a very high standard. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.
roomsRooms vary in size, but most are average in size. There are handicap-accessible rooms on the ground floor. Rooms have zip-and-link queen-sized beds and facilities include a fridge, hospitality tray, trouser press and hair dryer. Rooms are traditional in style but are generally of a good standard.
locationThis hotel is located in the heart of Edinburgh on Calton Hill with panoramic views over the Forth Estuary or Arthurs Seat. On a clear day it is possible to see the mountains on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. It is located in the centre of the city providing easy access to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood and the shops located on Princes Street.
