lobbyThe lobby is medium in size with tiled floors and seating area. It has a luxurious feel due to the marble and crystal chandeliers.
exteriorThis grade II listed building with its distinctive facade was designed over two hundred years ago and although undergoing much refurbishment many of the original architectural details have been carefully retained.
restaurantThe hotel offers a variety of cuisine; a wonderful buffet style restaurant to the rear of a lobby, in what can only be described as a quite stunning luxurious setting. There is also an exclusive a la carte restaurant serving Scottish specialties to the left of the entrance.
roomsSuperior rooms are larger in size and are kept in very good condition, the bathrooms are in good condition. Rooms have elegant decor with full facilities. All 195 of the hotel's en-suite bedrooms, many with views of Edinburgh Castle or the Firth of Forth, have been furnished to a comfortable four star standard.
