The hotel is located in the centre of town, a few minutes from the rail and bus terminal along a main road. The hotel can be found in the heart of the famous Grassmarket, with its charming shops, restaurants and quaint pubs. This is an excellent location, as Edinburgh Castle is opposite, providing great views from the hotel bedrooms.
rooms
The rooms are medium in size and are kept in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. Rooms are all similar: both bright and spacious. A number of rooms are tailored for guests with disabilities. Rooms have excellent facilities for business travellers.
restaurant
The hotel has a rooftop restaurant with stunning views across Edinburgh. It is long and narrow, but in an excellent location.
exterior
The hotel is a converted university; the modern building enjoys attractive surroundings.
lobby
The lobby is medium in size and very bright, with seating available.
general
Additional facilities for guests' enjoyment include the Yu Spa leisure facility with ozone pool, tropicarium, plunge shower and gym with state-of-the-art technogym equipment. This facility is open daily to residents free of charge. This is an excellent central hotel, but has limited car parking space available. A parking fee is to be paid at reception.
