The hotel is located on the outskirts of Scotland's ancient capital, only 15 miles from the centre of Edinburgh. Dunfermline rail station is 2 miles away, Inverkeithing rail station is 5 miles, and Edinburgh Airport is 10 miles.

The 48 rooms vary in size, 80% are medium and 20% are large kept in good condition along with the bathrooms. Rooms are similar in appearance and standard, each with en-suite bathroom and full facilities.
restaurant
Richmond's Restuarant and Conservatory Bar is renowned for it's excellent Scottish cuisine. It is decorated in pale pink and creams and the table decoration matches the interior of the rooms. In total contrast to Richmond's you can enjoy real ale and bar snacks in the Canmore Vaults Lounge Bar, with regular entertainment, Big Screen TV and pool table.

This is a modern hotel with an attractive entrance and small surrounding gardens.
lobby
The lobby is quite small with a reception desk in the corner. It is designed in pale wood paneling and dark brown furniture and carpets.
