Independent Report
locationSituated on Harcourt Street, this charming hotel is a brief stroll from Stephen's Green and Grafton Street, in the centre of Dublin. The beauty of central Dublin - it can all be explored on foot!
roomsThe rooms are all decorated in a very traditional style and are all en-suite with either shower or bath and equipped with tea/coffee-making facilities and TV. The rooms are comfortable and vary in size, although none are small. All rooms can be affected by noise any night of the week due to the many bars and function rooms in the hotel (particularly Thursday - Saturday, as the hotel has 2 very popular nightclubs).
restaurantThe hotel has an art deco style restaurant for more formal dining, whilst a carvery lunch is served in the bar. The hotel also boasts a fantastic open air beer garden which can be very busy in the summer months. This has become one of Dublin's most trendy night spots.
exteriorA typical and elegant Georgian building on the heart of the famous Harcourt Street, now serviced by the Luas, Dublin's new tram network.
lobbyThe lobby is furnished in traditional dark wood, with plenty of space in the adjacent lounge. There is an Internet point as well as comfortable seating, where guests can relax and read the papers. There is also an Internet point available for guest use. (payable locally).
generalIdeally placed for all tourist attractions. The hotel has two nightclubs: Dublin’s hottest new nightclub "Krystle", for the younger age group, and "Bojangles", for the 30-somethings. Both are located in the basement of the hotel. This hotel is ideal for anyone looking to sample Dublin's finest hospitality. A great place for a party or celebration. It is not suitable for anyone looking for a quiet break, especially on the weekends. (NN06/08)
