An excellent, modern hotel with a warm welcome, comfortable surroundings and the stunning landscape of the Peak District waiting to be explored on your doorstep. Certainly deserving of it's reputation as one of the areas better hotels its bright, contemporary design creates a place to stay that is as friendly as it is convenient. There is extensive car parking to guests and and all residents have access to the hotels's leisure facilities including indoor pool, gym and treatment rooms. (GW 12/2009)
lobby
The lobby is large and has a tiled floor and brick reception desk. There are a few sofas and armchairs situated on a large Persian rug and there is ample space for groups and their luggage.

This is a modern, low rise building with a driveway circling a round garden at the front.
restaurant
Chatterleys Restaurant combines delicious food, friendly service with chic surroundings. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For private dining, the chef's table is available for 8 to 14 people. For those fancying more leisurely dining, the informal Lounge Bar serves light snacks, drinks and cocktails and is also open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Local, seasonal produce is used wherever possible.
rooms
The 157 stylish guest rooms are all immensely comfortable and well proportioned. In addition to the high speed internet access, cable or Satelite TV, guests will find as standard in all rooms: Luxurious bedding including down comforters, custom duvets and cotton-rich linens, Tea and Coffee making facilities, individual climate control, hair dryer and iron and ironing board. They feel most homely.

The Derbyshire Hotel is conveniently located two minutes from Junction 28 of the M1 motorway in the beautiful countryside of South Normanton. Nearby major attractions include Chatsworth House and gardens, Alton towers and Matlock.
