pleasenoteThe Royal Hotel Cardiff celebrated its 146th anniversary in April this year making it the oldest and most historic hotel in Wales's capital city. Sadly over recent years the once grand exterior of the hotel has deteriorated to the point that the roof and the outer faces of the building are now in need of repair and upgrade. Having successfully returned the interior of the hotel to its former glory, the staff and management of the Royal Hotel are now happy to confirm that permission to commence the long awaited external refurbishment program has been granted, with works expected to last for 12 weeks from a planned start date of 13th August 2012. During this period it is essential that the exterior of the hotel be clad in scaffolding that will cover the entire building. For public safety, the outer face of the scaffolding will be netted, it is likely that this will affect levels of light in the guest bedrooms. At this stage, no internal services will be affected whatsoever. As a valued guest of the Royal Hotel Cardiff, we feel it is paramount that we make you aware of the impending works before your arrival at the hotel. This will give you the opportunity to make an informed decision about your forthcoming stay with us. The staff and management of the hotel will ensure that everything will be done to minimise any disruption during your time with us and to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
