Independent Report
generalAs a warm and friendly, privately-owned hotel, the Selandia offers great value for money, an excellent location and good service.
lobbyThe reception area is deceptively spacious as the lobby and breakfast dining area is open planned. There is a black marbled check-in desk which greets guests on arrival, while to the right is a small area of soft seating and a large plasma screen tv which is used to screen large sporting events. An Internet point is also available.
exteriorIt is a traditional, red brick building with uniformed rectangular and arched windows and very typical of Copenhagen.
restaurantThe hotel serves breakfast only, in a room adjoining the lobby. It is a large, open planned room with classic white tables and chairs throughout and nature-influenced colours, helping create a cosy and relaxing space.
roomsThe rooms without facilities are identical to the standard rooms; they don't have the benefit of having en-suite bathrooms. Instead, the bathrooms are located in the corridor and shared between a number of guests. These amenities are clean, ample in number and in good condition.
locationIt is a small, intimate hotel, located in the heart of Copenhagen, adjacent to the central station. The area the hotel is situated in has in recent years undergone considerable regeneration and is now a trendy district in which to live with many bars, coffee shops and restaurants. The location makes it convenient to most of Copenhagen's major attractions, including Tivoli gardens, the longest Pedestrainised shopping street in Europe - Stoget, cinemas, restaurants and the direct airport train link at central station.
