location
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown, at Magnificent Mile, just one block west of Michigan Avenue.
rooms
The rooms are medium in size and decorated in contemporary Scandinavian style with blonde colored wooden furnishings and rust red carpeting. Rooms have floor to ceiling windows which allows plenty of sunlight into the rooms. The marble bathrooms are spacious with separate tub and glass-enclosed shower.
general
The best shopping, restaurants, entertainment options, and cultural/tourist attractions are all within a 4-block radius of the hotel, therefore this is a great hotel to choose.
lobby
The lobby is medium in size and decorated in contemporary style with black granite flooring, recessive lighting, and a large staircase leading up to 2nd floor where the meeting rooms and fitness center are located. Dark cherry wood is used in the Front Desk decoration. The seating area is located across from the Front Desk with tan colored chairs and dark cherry wooden coffee tables.
exterior
Designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier, this unusual skyscraper is shaped like a sharp knife blade. The smooth white facade is decorated by a pattern of windows arranged like stacked bricks.
restaurant
The hotel has 2 restaurants and 1 bar, all located off of the lobby, each with a separate street level entrance. Each one is housed in a dramatic three-floor atrium, which includes a waterfall of windows on three sides to view the vibrant, ever-changing area around the hotel.
