This is an impressive 3 star hotel, and has a traditional and luxurious feel. A leisure centre is also available with gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room. A great hotel for leisure guests who are looking for a relaxing break or to explore the Northern Welsh countryside. (GW 01/2009)
lobby
The lobby is of a large size and is grand in appearance. It is decorated in a luxurious yet traditional decor and has a warm welcoming ambience. A lounge area and additional seating are available just off the reception area.
exterior
A restored listed building dating back to 1841, with impressive Georgian architecture spread across 3 floors.
restaurant
There is a more formal restaurant as well as a less formal bar menu available all day. The formal restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary flair.
rooms
The 110 bedrooms are of a medium size and decorated to a very good standard in a luxurious traditional style. All rooms have been completely refurbished and the hotel now have a number of disabled rooms.
location
The hotel is situated on the North Wales coast overlooking the spectacular Menai Straits. It is within easy reach of Snowdonia and only 26 miles from Holyhead - the gateway to Ireland. It is in the centre of famous Caernarfon, and provides easy access to major towns such as Chester, Manchester and Liverpool.
