The hotel has a magnificently restored, medium-sized lobby, featuring a Queensland marble interior and Jarra bookcases filled with a variety of books lining the walls, which help to create a warm, intimate feel. Ornate ceilings add to the character of this impressive old building.

Good hotel in the middle of the city, suitable for guests who are lovers of 'old world' charm and hotels in this style.

This is a redevelopment of an Anzac Square building (formerly used as government offices), finished in granite and sandstone. This hotel is heritage-listed and is comparable to the style of New York's Fifth Avenue hotels.

Located on the ground floor to the right of reception, 'Berkley's on Ann' Restaurant and Bar is open seven days a week from 6.30am til late.

Rooms and bathrooms are in good condition and are comfortably furnished with warm colours. The smallish rooms all come equipped with a microwave, sink, crockery and cutlery, fridge, minibar, television and CD player.
